What are the characteristics of electrically heated bulletproof glass?

As we all know, car bulletproof glass is usually synthesized from three or more layers of glass through a process of hot bending and gluing. The thickness of car bulletproof glass is also proportional to its bulletproof level. Currently, 36mm thick bulletproof glass is commonly used for overseas modifications, while electrically heated bulletproof glass is used in special areas for "safety bulletproof, heating defrosting".
It is widely used in cash transport vehicles, military specialized vehicles, and overseas personal modification vehicles. Assuming we apply it in extremely cold regions, it will result in frost and fog formation, seriously affecting driving safety.

The principle of electric heating bulletproof glass in automobiles

The reason why car bulletproof glass appears foggy in extremely cold areas is because the temperature inside the car is higher than the temperature outside, causing moisture and air inside the car to cool at the bulletproof glass, causing frost and mist to form. On the other hand, the electric heating bulletproof glass in automobiles is equipped with an electric heating wire to suspend the effectiveness of defogging and defrosting. After electric heating, the humidity of the bulletproof glass increases, which can quickly evaporate the fog and prevent the formation of a frost and mist surface, thus achieving the effect of high definition and transparency of the glass.

 Electrically heated glass process

There are differences in different electric heating processes, and currently there are mainly three commonly used heating processes:

Coating anti-fogging: defogging is performed using ITO coating conductive process.

Electric heating anti fog: As mentioned above, electric heating anti fog is similar to the distribution of many heating resistance wires on the entire bulletproof glass of a car.

Nano anti fog film: The application of anti fog film prevents water from adhering to the surface, achieving anti fog effect, but with a shorter lifespan.

Different heating processes have their own advantages and disadvantages. Due to the more stable heating performance of car bulletproof glass manufactured with electric heating wires, it is also more common on the market.
