Things to note when tempering special-shaped glass
In the production process of tempering equipment, the parameters for conventional glass tempering are generally debugged and set by machine engineers at the production site and stored in the computer. When a similar batch of glass is tempered, the operator can directly call the program parameters to achieve normal production.  When encountering special-shaped glass that needs to be tempered, the following points should be noted when setting the parameters of tempered glass:

For glass with holes and grooves: When tempering, the heating time needs to be increased by 2.5% to 5% compared with glass of the same specification.

For glass with sharp angles: The heating time of glass with an angle less than 30° in the heating furnace is 2.5% to 5% shorter than that of ordinary glass. When loading the glass, the tip should be farther back. And place the scrap glass. To prevent the corners from absorbing heat too quickly and causing bending.

For patterned glass: When placing the glass, the uneven side is usually facing up. To avoid ripples caused by heating for too long. The uneven side is sometimes placed downwards. The heating time is determined according to the thickest part of the glass, as is the blowing pressure.

For heat-absorbing glass: heating time is generally reduced by 5% compared with ordinary glass;

For coated glass and heat-reflective glass: To protect the film surface, the coated surface should face upward, and the bottom temperature and heating time should be 2.5% to 10% higher than that of ordinary glass of the same thickness.

For glazed glass: it must be dry before entering the tempering furnace. The upper and lower temperatures are generally set to about 700°C. If the glass bends, the wind pressure must be adjusted appropriately. The heating balance pressure can be reduced by about 50%, and the heating time also has a certain relationship with the color of the glaze.

    For the tempering of special-shaped glass, after understanding the above requirements for setting tempering parameters,it is best to conduct a trial tempering of a small amount of glass before mass production, and adjust the relevant tempering data based on the actual situation to ensure the tempering quality of this batch of special-shaped glass.
