Due to the use of coated glass in hidden frame glass curtain walls, the glass is unidirectional and the frame material of the structural system inside the curtain wall glass cannot be seen from the outside, so it is called hidden frame glass curtain walls.

If the curtain wall glass is installed with inlaid groove devices (or vertical beams or beams) on both sides, and the other two sides are assembled with structural glass, then the curtain wall, beams, or vertical beams are exposed, which is a semi-hidden frame glass curtain wall.

The integrated hidden frame glass curtain wall is the earliest generation of hidden frame glass curtain walls, whose glass is directly fixed and bonded to the frame of the aluminum alloy structure of the curtain wall by silicone sealant. When installing glass, it is necessary to use auxiliary fixing devices to position and fix the glass on the frame of the curtain wall, and then apply adhesive bonding. Only when the sealant has cured and can withstand the set load can the auxiliary device be removed. This type of curtain wall has poor safety and reliability, and it is extremely difficult to replace glass. Nowadays, it is rarely used in large-scale glass curtain walls.

2.The separated hidden frame glass curtain wall is a method of assembling glass with a structure. It is first fixed on a secondary frame to form a structural component with the glass, and then fixed on the main frame body with bolts. This method of installing glass can be divided into: embedded type, external buckle type, external hanging and internal fixing type, external hanging and external fixing type, etc. due to the different fixing methods of structural glass components on the main frame.
